据外媒报道，美国科学家说，从鲸鱼的耳屎可以追查出鲸鱼的爱情生活和人类对环境的污染。得州贝勒大学研究人员分析了7年前在加州外海，遭船撞死后冲上岸的一头蓝鲸的耳垢。研究人员说，蓝鲸的耳垢跟树的年轮一样都是成长的纪录。鲸鱼没有外耳，听觉器官主要是头部的一条听道。耳垢就藏在听道和头部一个小开口的中间。
