Hippo（Hpo）信号通路是从果蝇到哺乳动物中高度保守的信号通路，它调控细胞的增殖与凋亡，进而影响着器官的大小。Yorkie（Yki）是Hpo信号通路的效应分子，在哺乳动物中的同源物是癌基因YAP。磷酸化的Hpo在Salvador（Sav）的帮助下会磷酸化下游的Warts（Wts），磷酸化的Wts进而磷酸化Yki，磷酸化的Yki会被锚定在细胞质中，不能入核启动下游基因的转录。
