本发明公开了一种检测呼出气中NO和/或丙泊酚的方法。本方法以离子迁移谱技术为基础，用空气作为载气和漂气的供气气源，可同时测量、也可先后或单独测量呼出气中的NO和丙泊酚的含量。将这种方法用于呼出气中的NO和丙泊酚的检测，具有检测速度快，灵敏度高，能够实现无前处理直接测量以及实时在线监测等优点。这种方法对丙泊酚和NO的检测限分别可以达到0.5ppb和4ppb。
